Why are we postponing the Summit & Salute?

First and foremost, we are postponing to keep our network healthy and safe. As the coronavirus situation evolves, it has become increasingly difficult to guarantee a healthy and safe environment for our attendees even with the utmost precautions.

Second, for every WBENC event, we make a promise to deliver a productive and valuable experience, where attendees leave with more knowledge, expertise, contacts and business opportunities. With more and more travel bans, and many constituents wary of traveling, it is clear that moving forward with an event at this time would compromise our ability to deliver on that promise.

What will be the new Summit & Salute dates?

At this time, we are currently evaluating rescheduling Summit & Salute to a later date in 2020. We are working through the details and will be ready to share an update by the end of April when we hope to also have a better understanding of the coronavirus impact.

When is the 2021 Summit & Salute?

The 2021 WBENC Summit & Salute will take place March 22-24, 2021, in Denver, Colorado.

Will Summit & Salute attendee registrations be refunded?

All attendees receive further information and instructions on Friday, March 20, 2020 from our registration partner Experient about our flexible refund policy. All attendees will have the option to receive a full refund of your Summit & Salute attendee registration fees, to defer to the rescheduled Summit & Salute, or to donate your registration fees to WBENC.

I am a registered attendee, but I did not receive an email with instructions. What should I do?

Please ensure you check the email address used to register. The email will come from “email_confirm@confmail.experient-inc.com” and the subject line is “IMPORTANT: Refund, Defer and Donate Instructions.” If you still can’t find the email, please contact us at wbenccustsvc@wbenc.org.

I received the refund instructions email but accidentally selected the wrong option. What should I do?

Please call Experient’s Customer Service line toll free at 800-310-7554, or email wbenccustsvc@wbenc.org. 

I selected the option for a refund but have not received a confirmation email yet.

If you requested a refund, you will not receive an immediate confirmation. Refund requests will be processed within 10 business days. You will receive a refund receipt after the refund has been processed. The refund will be applied to your original method of payment.

What does it mean to defer my registration?

We are currently evaluating rescheduling Summit & Salute to a later date in 2020 and will be ready to share an update by the end of April. If you select the option to defer, your registration will automatically defer to the postponed event.

Once the new dates are announced, if you are unable to attend, you will then have the option to defer your registration to the 2021 Summit & Salute OR cancel for a full refund at that time.

The 2021 Summit & Salute will take place March 22-24, 2021, in Denver, Colorado.

Please note: It is NOT an option to defer your registration fee to any other WBENC event, including the 2020 National Conference & Business Fair.

Can I defer my registration to the 2020 National Conference & Business Fair?

No, it is not an option to defer to the 2020 National Conference & Business Fair.

You may defer to the postponed 2020 Summit & Salute, and if you are unable to attend once we announce the dates, you can then defer to the 2021 Summit & Salute OR cancel for a full refund.

Can I donate my registration fees to WBENC?

Yes! We are grateful for the many WBEs who have generously offered to donate their registration fees to help WBENC offset the costs of this postponement. We hear you (and appreciate you!) and will provide a donation option in the email that goes out to all attendees on Friday, March 20.

Are donations to WBENC tax-deductible?

Yes, WBENC is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization and, as such, donations to WBENC are considered tax-deductible.

Will the hotel refund the one-night deposit?

Yes, we have worked with the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center to ensure a refund of the one-night deposit for all attendees on our room block. Please contact the hotel directly at 615-889-1000 to cancel.

Please note: you must have canceled at least 72 hours before the first date of your reservation in order to be eligible for a refund.

Will there be any virtual event options?

For our network, we know nothing beats face-to-face networking and connections and we will always prioritize in-person events, but in order to provide ongoing education and support during these difficult times, we are exploring some virtual programming options and will be collaborating with our Regional Partner Organizations to come up with the best solution.

What about National Conference & Business Fair?

WBENC is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluating options for the National Conference & Business Fair. This is an unprecedented time, but the health and safety of our constituents remains our highest priority. We are committed to keeping you aware of any changes as soon as we can. At this point, we are continuing to work with Host Councils WBEC-ORV and GWBC to create an amazing experience in Atlanta.
