Elizabeth Walsh is the president of the Women’s Business Enterprise Center – East, which covers Pennsylvania, Delaware and south New Jersey. Dedicated to ameliorating the lives of workers, the growth of businesses, and the economic vitality of the tri-state region, Liz has spent her career in workforce and economic development.
Liz believes in consensus building and creating collaborative partnerships to advance supplier diversity initiatives and increase opportunities for women owned businesses. She founded two non-profit organizations including Suited for Success of Bucks County (PA). The Suited for Success organization provided free work and interview appropriate clothing to women reentering the workforce and served over 1500 clients a year.
A native of Philadelphia and graduate of the University of Scranton, Liz continues to reside in PA. Her passion for helping small businesses achieve success continues even after the work-day ends. She volunteers her time with a local grocery co-op and a farmers’ market, and volunteers with programs promoting manufacturing and STEM careers to girls. Liz is the proud mother of Tony, a chef working in Atlanta, and Sofia, a high school student studying construction technology.
